Summer Course Terms & Conditions
This course is for those aged 14-21 who are wanting to prepare audition material for drama school/college applications in 2020/21/22.
The course is suitable for those preparing for:
- Foundation or Pre-vocational courses
- Undergraduate courses
- Masters or equivalent
If you wish to prepare audition material for another purpose (professional audition etc.), please do speak to Mollie or Maia who will be able to offer you alternative support.
Ahead of the course, I will be in regular communication to ensure that you get the most out of the course.
You Can Expect
EMAIL 1: Contains a questionnaire to help us get to know you so we are better able to suggest relevant repertoire that will showcase your strengths.
EMAIL 2: You will be given access to a dropbox folder with a selection of monologues and songs that have been chosen specifically for you. You must choose 2 CONTRASTING PIECES from each discipline (singing/acting). You will also find a template document to help you research the play/musical/song/character in order to start the embedding of character ahead of the masterclass.
ZOOM CALL: You will be invited to have a pre-workshop 1-2-1 with each teacher to go through the work you have done so far, ask questions and make adjustments. We will give you your initial feedback with things to address before the masterclass.
The Masterclass: Everyone should have done a lot of prep work, so we can focus on audition technique, 1-2-1 and group feedback. Sessions will be recorded and each student will have access to their own feedback after the course.
What We Expect
- Students should know their songs and monologues from memory in order to be responsive to the coaching on the day.
- Please print off TWO copies of each monologue and song and bring a pen/pencil/highlighters.
- It is recommended that you bring a notebook for the group feedback session
- Sheet music should be either printed single-side and sellotaped together neatly OR hole punched and put in a 4-Ring ring-binder.
